 While driving to Surrey, I looked over and instead of seeing a road at he intersection, I saw a big pile of dirt... took me by surprise so I snapped a picture.

 Weird to see the town closed off.

The bridge on Burdick.  Water was right up to the bridge.  This picture doesn't do it justice.  It was amazing.

 We had a great time at the Bottineau fair last weekend.

 Surprisingly, Dani went on some rides and loved them!

Mom and Dad got to go out to a concert too and had a great time of our own!

 The view from our motel room... the picture doesn't do it justice.  The mountains were beautiful.

The whole trip was amazing.  We both loved Vegas so much and are already planning another trip.  It was really hard to leave the girls for that long, especially with Keni being a bit sick.  But it was really great to have no responsibilities at all for a few days.  Thank you Grammy and Papa for taking good care of our little treasures!!

Dani had a great program to end a great year in preschool!  She'll miss her school friends and teacher, but I'm sure it'll be a short sumnmer and she'll be back at "her" school in no time!

In the car today after church:

Me:  So Dani, what did you learn in Sunday School today?
Dani:  We learned about Jesus again.  And Bob too.
Duane:  Bob?
Dani:  No, Bob.
Duane:  Ya, Bob?
Dani:  No, BOB!
Duane:  Right, Bob??!!
Dani:  NO!!!  BOB!!!!  You know, he's in Jesus??!!
Me:  (laughing my rear off)  Are you saying Barb?
Dani:  No!  BOB!!! 
Me:  Who's Bob?
Dani:  He's in Jesus!

We left it at that and changed the subject.

My two sunshines

Since yesterday was Mother's Day, Danica keeps asking when Kid's Day is going to be.  I'm trying to convince her that every day is Kid's Day, but she's not buying it.

While I was rocking Keni to sleep this afternoon, I was humming "You are My Sunshine."  She put her hand on my cheek and hummed right along with me.  (Lump in throat)  You can see why I'm reluctant to give up rocking her to sleep.

Soccer!

Her first soccer game! She's more interested in chasing all the kids around than she is in kicking the ball.
