We tried to take her to the baby pool, but it was closed for the summer. So Daddy put on his trunks and took one for the team. Thanks Daddy! The water was a bit chilly for her, so we didn't last too long.

A fun week was had by all. Thanks for all your hospitality everyone! We had a great time both in Bottineau and in Garrison.

So last night Duane, Grammy and I were watching t.v. after Dani went to bed. We heard, "All done. Dada... Mama..." And then a big bang. Yes, she climbed (fell) out of her crib. We're thinking that this weekend will be our big girl bed weekend. What a little monkey!

We had lots of fun up at Doug and Dawn's cabin. They were kind enough to take us for a ride on their new boat. We all had a great time... but next time I'll know enough to bring diapers along on the boat!

Vacation

So sorry I haven't posted in a while. The week before we left for our vacation was the busiest we've all had in a very long time! There was no time for blogging. And since we've been away, we've been so busy having fun with family.
When we get home I'll have Grammy there helping with things while I recover from surgery (yes, I'm finally getting that gender reassignment surgery), so there'll be plenty of time for me to blog and get some pictures up.
So keep checking, in a few days there'll be plenty to see!!

Sick baby

Well, we have a sicky-sick little one on our hands. Yesterday Dani woke up with quite a fever and some vomitting... yuk. We took her in to find out it's a virus going around that causes extremely high fever, stuff coming out of both ends, and canker sores on the throat. So today the fever is under control and the puking has stopped, but the worst part is upon us. The sore throat has come and it is no picnic for all involved. There's not a worse feeling in the world than having a child who's in pain and there's nothing you can do about it. Once in a while she gets a little whiny and ticked off and we hear, "what's going on?!" She's just not sure why she feels so rotten. Poor girl.

Diaper mishap

This video speaks for itself. I'm assuming this happened before she fell asleep because there was a LOT of wet blankies. Seemed like a couple hours worth of pee.

Dani's first fridge art. The flower is one Averie sent us, and the shapes were done by our babysitter (I'm assuming). But the beautiful scribbles are dear little Danica's! The next Picaso maybe?

So, I think I'd better clear something up... no, I am not pregnant. I guess I must have seemed as though I was hinting in my previous blog entry, but no preggo yet!! Believe me, when we are pregnant there will be no hinting. I have too big a mouth for that... you'll all know 2 seconds after we know.

Demolition Dani

So, a little dainty girly-girl Dani is not. She's running around right now with her plastic bat trying to demolish everything she sees. Ready for a baby brother to beat up on maybe?
She's been very busy with her daily duties: playing "cook in da kitchen", throwing rocks from under the deck, eating sand from the sandbox, waiting till i'm not looking so she can hit me in the head with a ball, and begging for barney or elmo. Packed in her busy day of play is also quite a bit of snuggle and cuddle time with Mom and Emma.
